Alvaro Morata, allegedly asked Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte to substitute him against Manchester City, in order to worsen a supposed hamstring pull he felt, during Chelsea 0-1 lose to Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
Morata, who was signed from Real Madrid this summer, has been in a superb goal scoring form for Chelsea this season, as the West Londoners, look to retain the title they won last year.
The Spain international, has scored an impressive 7 goals in 8 matches so far this season, after being bought to replace the departed Diego Costa, who sealed his move to Athletico Madrid last week, after falling out with Antonio Conte and the Chelsea board.
It is fair to say this weekend could not have gone much worse for Chelsea.
After securing a dramatic 2-1 victory away at Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night, Chelsea faced another tough test as they welcomed title rivals Manchester City to Stamford Bridge.
Morata, will miss the upcoming international matches, in order to run test on the injury, and possibly get back in tune before the next phase of matchesin the Epl.
